Remote API Control — REST-Based Automation
Advanced Monitoring & Control
What it is
Remote API Control lets external software operate the generator programmatically, over a REST API — set parameters, trigger pulses, and read status without anyone touching the front panel. REST is a widely used, well-established standard, supported by a broad range of software environments, so integrating the generator into an existing setup doesn't require anything unusual on the other end.
Why it matters
If your workflow involves running the same protocol many times, coordinating the generator with other equipment, or logging results automatically, doing that by hand through a front panel doesn't scale — it's slow, hard to reproduce exactly the same way twice, and leaves room for human error at every manual step. Remote API Control lets you drive the generator from your own software instead, so it becomes one component in an automated setup rather than something a person has to operate directly, eliminating that manual-entry risk entirely.
Technical detail
The API exposes the same operations available from the front panel: setting parameters, triggering pulses, and reading back status and measurement data. In practice, anything achievable through the GUI can also be done through the REST API. Because it’s REST-based, it can be called from virtually any programming language or automation platform without a proprietary driver or vendor-specific library.
