OmniPulser HF — High-Frequency HV Pulse Generator
Overview
The OmniPulser HF is built on the same platform as the GP, optimized for one specific operational demand: sustained high-frequency continuous operation. When you need to run at high repetition rates over extended periods, the thermal load changes fundamentally. A standard pulse generator is not designed for this — heat builds up and performance degrades or protection trips.
The HF addresses this with oil cooling, allowing continuous high-frequency operation without thermal constraints. The pulse parameters — voltage, current, PSU power — stay the same as the GP. What changes is what the system can sustain over time, plus a shifted capability set to match.
Standard configurations
| Parameter | Options |
|---|---|
| Polarity | Unipolar / Bipolar |
| Peak Voltage | 5 / 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 100 kV |
| Peak Current | 50 / 100 / 250 / 500 A / 1 / 2 / 5 / 10 kA |
| PSU Power | 500 W / 4.5 kW / 9 kW / 18 kW |
Configurability and options
The HF carries forward most of the GP's platform capabilities — Arbitrary Sequencing, Adjustable Rise Times, Remote API Control, External Trigger Input and Output — and adds High Continuous Frequency, the capability that makes sustained high-frequency operation possible in the first place.
For applications that don't require continuous high-frequency operation, the OmniPulser GP covers the same parameter range without the oil cooling system.
