OmniPorator SOLO — Single-Channel Electroporation Pulse Generator
Overview
The OmniPorator SOLO is a single-channel bipolar pulse generator built for electroporation research. It's the entry point of the OmniPorator line — one channel, full parameter control, production-quality hardware.
Bipolar is standard on the SOLO because it covers both modes: a bipolar generator can always deliver unipolar pulses, but not the other way around. In electroporation research this matters — most serious protocols either already use bipolar or will.
For researchers working with individual samples, developing protocols from scratch, or running experiments where sequential processing is sufficient, the SOLO gives complete control without the coordination overhead of multi-channel operation.
Standard configurations
| Parameter | Options |
|---|---|
| Polarity | Bipolar |
| Peak Voltage | 3 / 5 kV |
| Peak Current | 50 / 100 A |
| PSU Power | 500 W |
Configurability and options
The standard configurations cover the most common requirements in electroporation research. If none of them match exactly — different voltage, higher current, a specific pulse duration range — that is a starting point for a conversation, not a dead end.
Technology capabilities that can be added to any SOLO configuration: Constant Current for stable current delivery as cell or tissue impedance shifts during the pulse; Real-Time Voltage and Current Measurement for verified pulse delivery; Multi-Frequency Impedance Measurement for characterising samples before and after treatment; Remote API Control for automated protocols or integration into larger experimental setups.
