What Data We Collect and Why
Contact form
When you submit the contact form we collect your name, email address, company or institution name, country, and message. We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry and to follow up on the conversation it initiates.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — responding to a business enquiry is a legitimate interest of both parties.
Website analytics
On our production site we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics data is only collected with your explicit consent. If you have not accepted analytics cookies, no analytics data is collected.
Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Technical logs
Our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps). These are used for security and operational purposes only and are not linked to any identity.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How Long We Keep Your Data
Contact form submissions are retained for 3 years from the date of submission, after which they are deleted. If a business relationship develops from your enquiry, we may retain relevant correspondence for the duration of that relationship plus 3 years.
Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Analytics data retention is set to the minimum period available in Google’s settings.
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share data with the following service providers who process it on our behalf:
- Hosting provider — stores all website data, including form submissions, on servers within the EEA.
- Google LLC — analytics, only if you have consented to analytics cookies. Google may transfer data outside the EEA under standard contractual clauses.
- Automattic Inc. (Jetpack / WordPress.com) — used on our production environment for performance and security. Data may be transferred outside the EEA under standard contractual clauses.
Your Rights
Under GDPR and Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll. you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data, subject to any legal retention obligations.
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights contact us at contact@vitave.com. We will respond within 30 days.
