OmniPorator MULTI — Multi-Channel Electroporation Pulse Generator
Overview
The OmniPorator MULTI extends the platform to parallel operation — up to 8 synchronized channels on the same hardware and control interface as the SOLO. The step up from SOLO to MULTI is a throughput decision, not a capability change. Every pulse parameter available on the SOLO carries forward.
The typical use case is parallel treatment of multiple samples, multi-electrode chamber setups, or any protocol where sequential single-channel operation creates a bottleneck. Each channel is a self-contained output with its own HV and ground connections — a SOLO in parallel. All channels share a single controller for synchronized operation. With the independent amplitude option, individual channels can run at different voltage levels within the same pulse sequence.
Standard configurations
| Parameter | Options |
|---|---|
| Channels | 4 / 8 |
| Polarity | Bipolar |
| Peak Voltage | 3 / 5 kV |
| Peak Current | 50 / 100 A |
| PSU Power | 500 W |
Configurability and options
The standard MULTI configuration runs all channels at the same amplitude. Two significant options are available depending on the application:
If your protocol requires different field strengths across electrodes or chambers, independent amplitude per channel makes that possible — each channel set to its own voltage level within the same pulse sequence. The platform handles it.
Constant Current operation is also available for multi-channel configurations. As with the SOLO, it maintains stable current delivery as impedance shifts during the pulse — particularly relevant for tissue electroporation where load conditions vary between samples.
The full set of Core Pulse Technology capabilities applies across all channels: Arbitrary Sequencing, Burst Mode, and Overcurrent Protection are standard.
